Jonatan Palmgren – Specialist in General Surgery and Urology

I am from Luleå, and my family is here in Norrbotten.  
I completed my medical education at Umeå University and graduated in 2004.  
In 2012, I became a specialist in surgery, and in 2020, a specialist in urology.  
As a surgeon, I have broad experience in various types of surgery, such as hernia surgery, gallbladder operations, intestinal surgeries, and the treatment of conditions in the rectum. I also perform endoscopy procedures such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy.  
In urology, I have been involved in introducing minimally invasive surgery for kidney cancer in Norrbotten and am responsible for robotic surgery for prostate cancer. I also perform surgeries for urination problems and other conditions affecting the urinary tract and male genital organs.  
In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities with my family and prefer being in the mountains or on the sea. Climbing on rock and ice, as well as skiing in the mountains, are my main hobbies.  
I am passionate about offering top-class care with excellent accessibility in my specialist fields here in the north!
