Frequently Asked Questions About Specialist Doctor Consultations

What should I bring to the doctor’s consultation?

Please bring an up-to-date list of your medications. We use Kanta for records, so we can access your previous medical history there. However, if you have any imaging or medical records outside of the Kanta system, it is recommended to bring them with you to the consultation.

How do I check in for my consultation?

Arrive about 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Check in at the reception upon arrival. Be sure to bring your Kela card or another valid photo ID.

Is there a Kela reimbursement for the consultation or can I get compensation from Försäkringskassan for the consultation?

If you live in Finland and are covered by Kela reimbursement, yes, you will receive direct reimbursement at the cashier by showing your Kela card.

If you live in Sweden and are covered by Försäkringskassa and if there is a medical indication, you can receive compensation through Försäkringskassa. You will receive all necessary forms from the reception.
